Which barcode format should I use?

Code 128 — the best all-rounder. Works with letters and numbers, so you can use your own product codes (like "MILK-400"). Recommended for most Nigerian shops.
EAN-13 — the 13-digit barcode you see on branded retail products. Use it if you have official barcodes.
UPC-A — 12-digit retail format, common in North America.
EAN-8 — a shorter code for small items with little space.
